Tragic Shooting at Bombshells Restaurant & Bar Leaves Two Dead, One Injured in Apparent Murder-Suicide
HOUSTON, TX – April 7, 2025 — A tragic scene unfolded Monday night in the parking lot of Bombshells Restaurant & Bar, located at 14155 Northwest Freeway, after a shooting left two people dead and another injured in what authorities are calling a domestic violence-related incident turned murder-suicide.
The shooting occurred around a busy time at the popular nightlife spot, where a large crowd had gathered for a car meetup in the parking lot. According to Houston police, the violence erupted when a man arrived at the event and spotted his ex-girlfriend with another man. Witnesses say a verbal altercation quickly escalated, leading the suspect to draw a firearm.
He then opened fire, shooting his ex-girlfriend multiple times before turning the gun on the man she was with. Moments later, the suspect turned the weapon on himself, firing a fatal shot. The chilling series of events sent dozens of bystanders fleeing in panic as chaos overtook the parking lot.
When emergency responders arrived following multiple 911 calls, they found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. The woman and the gunman were pronounced dead at the scene. The other male victim, though critically injured, was rushed to a nearby hospital where he is receiving treatment. As of the latest update, his condition remains serious but stable.
Officers worked swiftly to secure the area, clear the crowd, and begin an on-site investigation. A portion of the parking lot was cordoned off with police tape for several hours overnight as detectives collected evidence and reviewed security footage from nearby businesses.
Houston Police Department officials have stated that the shooting appears to have been premeditated, motivated by jealousy and fueled by a previous relationship between the shooter and the deceased woman. The identities of those involved have not yet been released, pending notification of their families.
