Two Killed in Scott County Shooting; Victims Identified
Scott County, Miss. — Two people were killed Wednesday afternoon following a shooting in the Harperville community, according to local authorities.
Scott County S.O. responded to a shots-fired call around 4 p.m. on King Road. Upon arrival, deputies discovered two male victims who were pronounced dead at the scene.
Scott County Coroner Hunter Wolf confirmed the identities of the victims as Todd Rashaud, 18, and Deionteque Thyun Strong, 19.
Investigators say it is still early in the investigation, and what led up to the shooting remains unclear. The Sheriff’s Department is continuing to gather evidence and interview witnesses.
Officials expect to release additional information as the investigation develops.
