Conroe, Texas Mourns After Tragic Family Murder-Suicide in Montgomery County

CONROE, Texas — The Montgomery County community is reeling from a devastating tragedy after a man, a woman, and a child were found dead Thursday afternoon outside a home in a quiet rural area of Montgomery County. Authorities say the deaths, which occurred on the open porch of a home in the 11800 block of Crystal Creek, have been ruled a murder-suicide.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported that a family member discovered the three deceased individuals and called 911. Deputies arrived on the scene around 3:45 p.m., finding all three with gunshot wounds. A pistol was recovered at the scene. Authorities later confirmed that 52-year-old Salvador Ramirez is believed to have killed his wife, 39-year-old Maria Ramirez, and their three-year-old son before taking his own life.

“This is a tragic event. It will shock people’s conscience to see this kind of thing happening in our community, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family members, especially those who have discovered this horrible incident,” said Montgomery County Sheriff Wesley Doolittle.

Neighbors described the neighborhood as typically quiet and safe, expressing shock and concern over the violent nature of the incident. “It’s scary, it’s dangerous,” said neighbor Carlos Delgado. “Something like that happened too close to our house.” Many residents are now struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss and the shocking circumstances surrounding it.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to piece together the events leading up to the tragedy. The incident has raised broader concerns about domestic violence and mental health in the community. Support resources have been mobilized for family members, neighbors, and first responders affected by the incident.
