Memphis, TN — Man Critically Injured in South Memphis Market Shooting
Memphis, TN — A man is fighting for his life after a shooting outside the South Memphis Market at 1432 Elvis Presley Boulevard on Friday evening. The Memphis Police Department (MPD) confirmed that officers were dispatched to the scene around 4:57 p.m. on April 4, 2025, following reports of gunfire in the area.
Upon arrival, officers found a male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the parking lot of the popular corner market. First responders quickly rendered aid at the scene before the victim was rushed to Regional One Health in critical condition. Authorities have not released his name at this time, pending notification of family.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under active investigation.
