On that Friday afternoon, at approximately 4:57 p.m., Albany Police officers responded to the intersection of Pacific Boulevard and 24th Avenue after reports of a serious collision involving a scooter and a Ford F-150. Kevin, who had been riding his electric motorized scooter, was found unconscious but breathing at the scene. He was quickly transported to Albany General Hospital in critical condition before being transferred to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, where, despite medical efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Ford remained at the scene and cooperated fully with investigators, who continue to examine the circumstances of the accident.
