Lubbock Police Identify Man Killed in Thursday Evening Crash
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Lubbock Police Department has confirmed the identity of the man who died following a crash Thursday evening in central Lubbock. Authorities say 44-year-old Jousef Hernandez Cotto was killed in the collision, which occurred in the 200 block of Indiana Avenue.
According to a statement released by LPD, officers were called to the scene around 7:20 p.m. Thursday after receiving reports of a serious crash. When first responders arrived, they located multiple damaged vehicles and quickly secured the area to allow medical crews access to those injured.
Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Cotto was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not yet disclosed whether anyone else was injured in the crash or the exact number of vehicles involved.
