Forever Part of the Wall Township Police Family: Todd Kazanowsky

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Retired Police Officer Todd Kazanowsky, a devoted member of the Wall Township Police Department family. Todd served our community with honor and distinction from June 1997 until his retirement in September 2021, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, integrity, and friendship that will forever be remembered.

Throughout his 24 years of service, Todd was known not only as a skilled and dependable officer, but also as a colleague who brought warmth, humor, and genuine care to those around him. His commitment to public service was matched by his ability to connect with people—whether it was a fellow officer, a member of the community, or simply someone in need of a kind word.

Todd’s presence within the department extended far beyond his professional duties. He was a loyal friend, a constant source of encouragement, and someone who could always bring a smile during even the most challenging days. From his enduring friendship with Johnny Rowe, to the countless lighter moments spent watching Maury during gym workouts, Todd had a way of bringing people together. Those who served alongside him will fondly remember the unmistakable sight of his giant Ziploc bags of grilled chicken stored in the fridge—always paired with what seemed like an endless supply of ketchup bottles. These small, personal details are the ones that made Todd so memorable and beloved within our ranks.

The Wall Township Police Department is stronger, better, and more united because Todd was a part of it. His contributions—both on duty and off duty—will never be forgotten. Todd embodied the spirit of service, but more importantly, he embodied the spirit of friendship and camaraderie that binds us as a family.

As we mourn his passing, we also give thanks for the many years we were fortunate enough to share with him. Todd’s legacy will live on in the stories, laughter, and bonds he helped create, and in the lasting impact he made on his colleagues, his community, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Officer Kazanowsky, we honor you, we thank you, and we will miss you deeply.
