BRYAN COUNTY, Ga. — The Bryan County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Monday evening that a detainee housed at the county jail has died after being found unresponsive in a medical cell.
Authorities reported that around 5:30 p.m. Monday, detention officers conducting rounds at the Bryan County Jail discovered 37-year-old Wesley Barrow in distress. Despite immediate efforts to render aid, Barrow was transported by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
