In Loving Memory of Former Bulldog, Chris Stansik
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Chris Stansik, a proud Adrian College alumnus, beloved teammate, and Hall of Fame Bulldog whose contributions to the Adrian hockey program left a permanent mark on the college and all who knew him.
A Bulldog Forever
Chris graduated from Adrian College in 2012, where he built a reputation not only as a remarkable hockey player but also as a leader and friend. A two-time All-American and four-time All-Conference selection, Chris set the bar for excellence both on and off the ice.
He will always be remembered for his role in Adrian hockey history. On October 15, 2007, Chris scored the first goal in program history during a 9-2 victory over SUNY Potsdam, a moment that symbolized the beginning of a new era for the Bulldogs. Over the course of his career, he compiled an impressive 135 points in 113 games as a defenseman, proving his talent, grit, and determination.
During his senior year, Chris was honored to serve as Co-Captain of the 2011-12 team, embodying the qualities of leadership, perseverance, and dedication that made him a role model for teammates and underclassmen alike.
Recognition and Legacy
In 2024, Chris was inducted into the Adrian College Athletic Hall of Fame, a testament to his extraordinary achievements and lasting influence on the Bulldogs program. His induction was not only a celebration of his athletic accomplishments but also a recognition of his enduring place in the college’s history.
Chris’s legacy extends far beyond the numbers on the stat sheet. He will be remembered as a passionate competitor, a loyal teammate, and a true ambassador for Adrian College hockey. His drive, sportsmanship, and commitment to excellence helped lay the foundation for future generations of Bulldogs to build upon.
Honoring His Memory
A viewing and mass will be held on Thursday, September 4 in remembrance of Chris’s life. The viewing will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed immediately by the mass. Family, friends, teammates, and members of the Adrian community are invited to gather to celebrate his life, honor his memory, and reflect on the profound impact he had.

While his passing brings deep sorrow to all who knew him, Chris’s story is one of passion, leadership, and dedication. He will forever remain part of the Bulldog family, a name etched in Adrian’s history, and a figure remembered for his achievements and his spirit.
Chris Stansik’s legacy will continue to inspire both on the ice and beyond it. His memory lives on in the teammates who played by his side, the fans who cheered for him, and the countless lives he touched during his journey.
