Richmond County Shooting: Arcan Cetin Identified as Suspect in Deadly Meadowbrook Drive Incident
AUGUSTA, GA – Authorities in Richmond County have identified Arcan Cetin as a suspect in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon near Meadowbrook Drive and Deans Bridge Road. The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Coroner’s Office and several supporting agencies, responded swiftly to the violent scene, which left one teenager dead and three others injured.
The shooting unfolded in broad daylight, prompting panic and an overwhelming law enforcement presence in the area. According to officials, the first shots were fired near the Advance Auto Parts located on Deans Bridge Road. It was there that 14-year-old Deandre Howell was struck by gunfire. The Richmond County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Howell was shot at least once and pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 6:05 p.m.
Two people were shot at the Advance Auto Parts location, while two additional victims were injured at a nearby Texaco gas station, authorities said. A vehicle was also reportedly hit by gunfire and later pulled into another parking lot after the driver attempted to escape the chaos. Officials have not yet released the names or conditions of the other victims involved.
Law enforcement sources have confirmed that multiple individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident. However, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has stated that the situation remains fluid, and investigators are still searching for other suspects believed to be connected to the violent outburst. The area around Meadowbrook Drive and Deans Bridge Road remains cordoned off, with deputies using aerial drone surveillance to track movement and gather evidence.
