In Loving Memory of Edward Roberts Jr.
April 18, 1986 – July 25, 2025
The community of Middletown, Pennsylvania, is mourning the untimely and heartbreaking loss of Edward Roberts Jr., who tragically passed away in a serious car crash in East Lampeter Township in the early hours of July 25, 2025. At just 39 years old, Edward’s life was cut short far too soon, leaving behind a grieving family, devastated friends, and a community that will deeply miss his steady presence, unwavering loyalty, and kind heart.
Edward was more than just a name in the headlines—he was a son, a brother, a devoted father, a trusted friend, and a respected neighbor. Known for his quiet strength, dependable nature, and the warmth he extended to everyone he met, Edward left an imprint on the lives of those who were lucky enough to know him.
Born and raised in Middletown, Edward graduated from Middletown Area High School and went on to build a life rooted in hard work and responsibility. He was a skilled tradesman, admired for his dedication to his craft, his willingness to help others, and his calm presence in times of stress. Whether lending a hand to a neighbor or working tirelessly to support his family, Edward lived with integrity and generosity.
Outside of work, he cherished the simple things in life—Sunday cookouts, cheering on his favorite sports teams, long drives through Pennsylvania’s countryside, and most importantly, spending time with his children. He was a proud and loving father, and his greatest joy came from watching his kids grow, smile, and thrive. His bond with them was unbreakable, and the memories they shared will remain eternal in their hearts.
The tragic circumstances surrounding Edward’s death have sent shockwaves through the community. As authorities continue to investigate the crash that claimed his life, friends and family are focusing on celebrating his legacy and supporting one another through the pain.
A memorial service to honor Edward’s life will be held at Faith Community Chapel in Middletown on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Middletown Cemetery, beside loved ones who preceded him.
Edward is survived by his beloved children, his parents, siblings, extended family, and a wide circle of friends who are all heartbroken by his passing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a fund supporting the future education and care of his children—a cause that would have meant the world to him.
As the community reflects on Edward Roberts Jr.’s life, we are reminded of the fragility of time and the strength found in coming together to mourn, remember, and honor a man who gave so much of himself to others. His life, though cut short, was one lived with purpose, humility, and love.
Rest peacefully, Edward. You will never be forgotten.
