In Loving Memory of Ryan Gene Walters
February 12, 1995 – July 7, 2025

With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Ryan Gene Walters, who tragically lost his life on Monday, July 7, 2025, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Kankakee, Illinois. He was just 30 years old.

Born on February 12, 1995, in Kankakee, Ryan was the beloved son of Jamie Bonacci and Shea Walters. He grew up in the heart of Kankakee County, where he cultivated a reputation for his warm smile, deep loyalty, and free-spirited nature. From an early age, Ryan had an adventurous soul. Whether it was on a dirt bike, motorcycle, or open road, he felt most alive with the wind in his face and the horizon ahead of him.

Ryan held various jobs over the years, demonstrating a strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn. He worked with Pioneer Seed, SET Environmental, and several other local companies—each place remembering him for his dedication, his sense of humor, and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life. He wasn’t just a coworker—he was a friend, a team player, and someone who always showed up.

Outside of work, Ryan lived life with a contagious energy and a rebellious joy that made every moment feel bigger, brighter, and more spontaneous. He loved motorcycles, music, bonfires, and being around his people. He had a strong bond with his family and shared countless unforgettable memories with friends who quickly became like brothers and sisters.

Those closest to him knew Ryan as someone with a heart as big as his personality. He was fiercely loyal, fun-loving, and deeply compassionate. He stood up for others, lent a hand whenever it was needed, and wasn’t afraid to speak his mind. He made people feel seen. He made them laugh. And he made an impact.

His loss is a devastating blow to all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a grieving family who adored him—his parents, Jamie Bonacci and Shea Walters, as well as siblings, extended family, and a wide circle of friends who are struggling to imagine life without his presence.

“The ones who love us never really leave us. You can always find them in your heart.”

Ryan’s sudden departure is a stark and painful reminder of how fragile life can be. But even in grief, we are reminded of just how much he gave to this world in the short time he was here. His spirit, his laughter, and his memory will forever live on in the stories we tell, the roads he traveled, and the lives he touched.

A celebration of Ryan’s life will be announced in the coming days. In the meantime, we ask for continued prayers and support for his family as they begin the heartbreaking journey of healing. We invite those who knew him to honor his memory by riding in his name, living with courage, and embracing life with the same intensity that Ryan did.

Ride in peace, Ryan.
