In Loving Memory of Abby Katherine Davis
March 13, 2002 – July 6, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and unimaginable heartache that Jennifer and Greg Davis share the heartbreaking news of the passing of their cherished daughter, Abby Katherine Davis, who departed this life far too soon on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the young age of 23.
Born on March 13, 2002, in Greenwood, South Carolina, Abby came into this world with a light that touched all who knew her. From the earliest days of her childhood, she displayed a warmth, curiosity, and drive that set her apart. Her radiant smile and compassionate heart made her a joy to be around — not only to her family, but to her friends, teachers, and everyone lucky enough to cross her path.
A Bright Mind, A Kind Soul
Abby was a proud 2024 graduate of Clemson University, where she earned her degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations, a field that perfectly matched her natural gift for connecting with people. She was a loyal Clemson Tiger through and through, rarely missing a football game and often cheering with unmatched spirit from the stands or alongside friends and fellow alumni.
While at Clemson, Abby made a lasting impression. She was involved in student organizations, service projects, and internships that allowed her to hone her skills while helping others. Her professors described her as diligent, thoughtful, and exceptionally creative — someone who didn’t just complete assignments, but brought them to life with heart and purpose.
A Life Fueled by Passion and Purpose
After graduation, Abby embarked on a promising career in digital marketing, landing a position with a growing agency in Greenville. Her ability to tell stories, to lift brands, and to bring authenticity into everything she touched earned her instant respect among her colleagues. But beyond the office, Abby’s life was rich with meaning: she was a devoted friend, a loving daughter, a proud sister, and a light in the lives of many.
She had an unshakable bond with her younger brother, Ethan, who adored her not only as a sibling but as a guiding light and best friend. She enjoyed hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains, spontaneous weekend trips, exploring local coffee shops, and advocating for causes close to her heart — especially mental health awareness, women’s empowerment, and education for underserved youth.
Abby was deeply empathetic. She felt things deeply, loved fiercely, and always showed up for those she cared about. She had the rare ability to make others feel safe, heard, and valued — and it is this heart, above all, that we will miss the most.
A Family’s Heartfelt Farewell
Jennifer and Greg Davis are left to mourn not only the loss of their beloved daughter, but the dreams they shared for her bright future. The ache of her absence is overwhelming, but they take solace in the beautiful legacy Abby leaves behind. She touched more lives in 23 years than many do in a lifetime.
The Davis family wishes to thank the countless friends, extended family members, neighbors, and members of the Clemson and Greenwood communities who have reached out with love, support, and shared memories. Your prayers, words of comfort, and acts of kindness are deeply appreciated during this time of sorrow.
Honoring Abby’s Life
A celebration of Abby’s life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Greenwood at 2:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. All who knew and loved Abby are warmly invited to attend, to share in the memory of a life so beautifully lived, and to honor her legacy of love, kindness, and purpose.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Abby’s memory to NAMI South Carolina or to a scholarship fund being established in her name to support young women pursuing degrees in communications or public service at Clemson University.
Forever in Our Hearts
Abby Katherine Davis — vibrant, courageous, thoughtful, and kind — leaves behind a world that is far better because she was in it. Her light will never be extinguished. It lives on in the laughter of her friends, the love of her family, and in the stories told by all those she inspired.
Though words will never be enough to capture all that Abby meant to this world, we will carry her with us — in every sunrise, every Tigers game, every moment where joy, compassion, and truth are present. She was a beautiful soul, and though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will remain eternally alive.
Rest in peace, dear Abby. You will never be forgotten.
