Belen Jesuit Community Mourns the Tragic Loss of Sophomore Lucas Osuna
The Belen Jesuit Preparatory School community, along with Miami’s water polo and fitness communities, is mourning the devastating loss of 15-year-old Lucas Osuna, a promising student and athlete, who tragically passed away during a water polo tournament on Friday, March 29, 2025.
Lucas’s sudden passing has left family, friends, teammates, and coaches heartbroken, as they struggle to come to terms with the loss of such a young, talented, and kind-hearted individual. The cause of his death has not yet been released.

The Miami Whitecaps Water Polo Club, based at Belen, shared a touching post on Instagram:
