19-Year-Old Dies Following Shooting on Revell Avenue in Rockford; Investigation Ongoing
ROCKFORD, Ill. — A 19-year-old man has died following a shooting that occurred Saturday afternoon in the 1200 block of Revell Avenue, according to the Rockford Police Department. Authorities have confirmed the fatality and are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, which has left another young man injured.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting around the early afternoon hours on June 7, 2025. Upon arrival at the scene, police discovered a 19-year-old male suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.
Shortly after the initial police response, an 18-year-old man arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. His injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening. Authorities have not yet released information on whether the two individuals were shot in the same incident or if there is any known connection between them.
