Limerick Township, PA — Community Devastated After Fatal Crash Claims Lives of 3 Owen J. Roberts Students, 1 Injured
A tragic car crash in Limerick Township on the night of Tuesday, June 3, 2025, has left the Owen J. Roberts School District and the broader Montgomery County community heartbroken. Authorities have confirmed the identities of the three teenagers who lost their lives in the devastating accident: Gabriel Cooper, Nasir Youk, and Siniyah Newsuan. A fourth occupant, a 15-year-old male and also a student at Owen J. Roberts High School, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Temple University Hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred in the 300 block of Ridge Pike around 9:15 p.m., according to Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele. Just minutes before the fatal collision, Limerick Township Police had responded to a reported theft in progress at the Target store in Royersford, roughly four miles from the crash site. Officers arriving on the scene at 9:06 p.m. attempted to stop a vehicle believed to be involved in the theft, but the driver fled. A short time later, the fleeing vehicle crashed, resulting in a catastrophic outcome.

All three teenagers who died in the crash were either current or recent students of Owen J. Roberts High School, a close-knit suburban school community now grappling with an unimaginable loss.

“It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter and let you know that earlier this morning we learned that there was a fatal car accident last evening involving Owen J. Roberts High School students.”
The district confirmed in a public statement that two current students and one former student had died in the crash, with a fourth student seriously injured.
“Please keep our fellow Owen J. Roberts High School families in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time,” Stout added.
In response to the tragedy, the district has made grief counseling and emotional support services available for students, staff, and families.
