CENTREVILLE, MD — Community Grieves the Tragic Loss of 19-Year-Old Christopher Parsley Following Deadly House Party Shooting

The community of Centreville, Maryland, is reeling after a tragic act of gun violence claimed the life of 19-year-old Christopher Parsley during the early hours of Sunday, June 1, 2025. What began as a night of celebration turned into a devastating event that has left a family in mourning, two others injured, and an entire community searching for answers.

According to the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 1:15 a.m. to a residence located in the 1500 block of Centreville Road after frantic 911 calls reported gunfire erupting at a house party. Witnesses described a chaotic scene as partygoers fled in fear following the sounds of gunshots. When officers arrived, they found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. While two individuals were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment, Christopher Parsley succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities confirmed Wednesday that Christopher tragically lost his life as a result of the shooting. Described by friends and family as kind-hearted, driven, and full of life, Christopher’s passing has sent shockwaves through Queen Anne’s County. He had his whole future ahead of him—plans, ambitions, and dreams that were cut short in a senseless moment of violence.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Through interviews with witnesses and preliminary leads, investigators believe that the shooter—or shooters—were among the attendees of the party prior to the deadly incident.
