22-Year-Old Hassan Perry Killed in Kent County Shooting Outside Dover Pub
DOVER, Del. — A life was tragically cut short early Sunday morning when 22-year-old Hassan Perry of Dover, Delaware, was fatally shot in a violent incident outside a popular local bar. The Dover Police Department has launched an active investigation into the shooting, which also left another young man seriously injured.
According to a press release from the department, officers were dispatched to McGlynn’s Pub, located at 800 North State Street, following reports of multiple gunshots just after 1:11 a.m. on May 4, 2025. The parking lot, typically a place of post-midnight social gatherings, became the scene of a deadly confrontation that has shaken the Kent County community.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Hassan Perry, 22, and a 21-year-old male, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. Police and bystanders rendered aid until emergency medical services arrived.
Both men were transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus for urgent medical care. Tragically, Hassan Perry later died from his injuries, leaving family, friends, and community members devastated by the sudden and senseless loss.
The second victim remains hospitalized, and his condition has not been publicly disclosed.
